I was born and reared in the suburbs of New Jersey to a large family and started learning about business at a very early age. At age nine my younger younger brother and I started our own lemonade stand.
(From the picture above, you can probably tell that we didn’t sell much lemonade, because the sign’s decimal point was so small, and the price looks like $25 per glass…my first harsh lesson in copy-writing)
However, the lemonade stand did attract the attention of a professional photographer and the picture made its way to the local paper (And I learned the power of press releases)
At age 16, I was short on cash, so I started mowing lawns in the local neighborhood. Things go so busy that I had to outsource some jobs to my brothers and some trusted friends.
After high school, I attended and graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. Following graduation, I attended the U.S. Navy Flight School and was winged a Naval Aviator in 1999 and deployed on two combat cruises.

Graduating From the US Merchant Marine Academy
But, my story really starts in Singapore sometime in 2003 during my second deployment. I was visiting the great city-state of Singapore and in that beautiful foreign city, I realized that I had been lied to.
While I had dabbled in some small business ventures (like my failed lemonade stand), all my life I was told to go to school, work hard and get a safe, secure job with benefits. But I knew there had to be another way.
Sometime during that visit in Singapore, I walked into a Borders bookstore and purchased a large stack of business and personal development books. I spent the next three months on my ship studying at night. I learned the great concepts of leverage and cash flow and envisioned how successful men and women started and operated their businesses. I studied great leaders like Henry Ford, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Robert Allen, Ron Legrand, Seth Godin, T. Harv Eker and Warren Buffet.
During that brief time, I also noticed my inner thoughts change from “that is not possible” to “I can do it.”
As I read the stories of both great successes and devastating failures, I also realized that many people starting their own businesses were simply looking for the next get-rich-quick-scheme, and often don’t take the time to learn to build a business properly. I noticed that at the first sign of failure, many people “cash” in their chips and quit. I learned that while many view “failure” as a vicious adversary, some can take the “failure” and learn from it. (Like my copywriting mistake with my lemonade stand)
Now, I’m assisting families, investors reach their dreams through the power of real estate and healthy dose of sound business practice and a topping of ninja marketing skills.
Never stop learning.
And To Your Success.

G’day Mark,
I had a chuckle to myself when I saw that picture, I guess fresh cool juice was easier to fit on the box than fresh cool lemonade

What I can say about Mark Archer is that he is a great guy, with a lot of amazing ideas. Inspired me to see the entrepreneur inside myself six years ago while I was active duty at HS-10. Now I have my own company, GC Green, http://www.gcgreen.com. On to a new adventure with a competitive edge. Thanks.
